North West Bird Watching Festival

7 guest speakers over 2 days, including One Show presenter George McGavin. There are rooms full of exhibitors including books, clothes and charities, chances to feed otters, white storks and swans. Guided walks of the reserve, the 4th annual bird race on the Saturday, and bird ringing demonstrations.

Ormskirk Gingerbread Market & Lights Switch-On

This event promises lots of Ormskirk gingerbread, with gift stalls, entertainment and a live ice carving demo. The Christmas lights switch-on follows soon after – you won’t want to miss it this year!

Gin Festival

The Absolutely Fabulous Gin Festival heads to St. Helens with over 80 different gins plus live entertainment. Food available from the Mayur Indian Restaurant. Tickets £12.50, includes gin Copa glass and welcome drink. VIP area tickets £50. Saturday sessions run from 12pm-5pm and 6pm-11:30pm.

Wedding Fayre

Plan your perfect day with local vendors showcasing their businesses – free entry, a goodie bag for the first 50 brides, and complimentary welcome drink.

Geoff Fest

A fun day of live music, raffles, auctions and a bouncy castle for the kids, plus a 5-a-side charity football match (weather permitting). Tickets £5 for adults or £1 for under-16s, available from the club or from Ravenhead JFC on Facebook.

Big Gig

16 live, local acts take to the stage to raise funds for The Brick! Bands and vocalists including Leah Wallis, The Band With No Name and Bamboo Rampage will be performing, with plenty of food on offer plus an ice cream van and bottle bar.

Spring Fair

Grab a bargain from a variety of stalls from crafts, books and DVDs to plants and bric-a-brac. There’ll be plenty to keep the kids entertained with donkey rides, face painting, music and activities, with afternoon tea and light lunches served in the tea room. Free admission.

Grand Summer Fayre
