Living Faith Church Autumn Fair
The Living Faith Church fair has plenty of stalls to get your Christmas gifts, with bargain buys and children’s activities in the Church Hall. There will also be coffee, tea and cakes available.
Apple Day
A day of apples takes place in the Walled Gardens! Join in with apple bobbing, apple juicing, toffee apple making and more! Free admission (charges apply for toffee apple making), donations welcome.
Dead & Buried: Victorian Death Talk
Charlie Guy MA dispels the myths of death in Victorian times, and shines a light on some forgotten funeral practices, traditions and superstitions. Booking essential – call 01942 828128 or email wiganmuseum@wigan.gov.uk. £2.50 per person, includes tea and coffee.
Standish Cricket Club Fireworks
Standish Cricket Club present a night of fireworks, with a bar/refreshments and children’s rides and attractions. Adults cost £3, children £2. Fireworks display begins at 7:45pm, and parking is strictly limited. For more information, go to www.standishcc.co.uk.
Ladies Night
The Poacher presents Ladies Night! Prosecco on arrival, and some great stalls including Ann Summers, Avon and nails/beauty. DJ entertainment and games! Tickets £10 per person.
Haigh Fireworks
A family friendly firework spectacular featuring more entertainment than ever before. There will be live music, an award-winning LED puppet show, a Superhero vs. Princess show for the kids, and a firework finale by SM ART Pyro. Tickets range from £7-£32, and car parking costs £1.50. St. Peter’s Pavilion Fireworks
Hindley lights up the sky this Bonfire Night! With a firework display starting at 6:30pm, live entertainment, food and drinks and a funfair, you’re in for a treacly treat. No entry after 6:30pm, £6 per adult and £3 per child. Advance booking recommended at Eventbrite.
Aspull Rugby Club Fireworks
Celebrate Bonfire Night with a bonfire and fireworks display. There will be a bar, a barbecue and sweet stalls! Fireworks start at 7:30pm. Adult entry is £4, children £2.
Craft & Gift Fayre
All your Christmas shopping needs under one roof! Various craft and gift stalls, a Fairtrade stall, local handicrafts and refreshments/light lunches.
Christmas Fundraiser
Attractions include flower arranging by June from Hartleys Garden Centre, a live performance by local vocalist Leah Wallis, Christmas stalls including cake, veg and fancy goods to raise money for St. Thomas the Martyr Church. Tickets are £5 – call Kath McGuire on 01695 721038 to book.
