Suffragist Presentation

Songs, poems, speeches and playlets to celebrate the centenary of the Qualification of Women Act and highlight Suffragist and Suffragette activity. Free to attend, no booking required.

The Plough Fireworks

The Plough Inn in Lathom is hosting its fourth annual firework display with rides, face painting, sweet stalls and sparklers! There will also be a barbecue with a hog roast, craft beers and cask ales. Advance tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children. Fireworks start at 7:30pm.

Duxbury Park Bonfire

The Red Bank Scout Group host their annual bonfire and firework display. Some Bonfire Night fun for all the family! Free entry but donations welcome (£5 per adult, £3 per child).

Red Lion Bonfire & Fireworks

The Douglas Valley Lions Club will hold its annual fireworks and bonfire charity events, with proceeds going to local causes. The fire will be lit at 6:30pm, with a fireworks display at 7pm. Adults £6, children between 5 and 15 £3.

Vegan Fair

From cakes to cosmetics, Rainford’s Vegan Fair has tonnes of cruelty-free gifts and snacks on offer. You can even grab a festive gift while you’re there.

Haigh Fireworks

A family friendly firework spectacular featuring more entertainment than ever before. There will be live music, an award-winning LED puppet show, a Superhero vs. Princess show for the kids, and a firework finale by SM ART Pyro. Tickets range from £7-£32, and car parking costs £1.50. St. Peter’s Pavilion Fireworks

Hindley lights up the sky this Bonfire Night! With a firework display starting at 6:30pm, live entertainment, food and drinks and a funfair, you’re in for a treacly treat. No entry after 6:30pm, £6 per adult and £3 per child. Advance booking recommended at Eventbrite.

Aspull Rugby Club Fireworks

Celebrate Bonfire Night with a bonfire and fireworks display. There will be a bar, a barbecue and sweet stalls! Fireworks start at 7:30pm. Adult entry is £4, children £2.

Votes for Women Talk

The Ormskirk District Historical Society and Professor Paul Ward present a talk on women’s suffrage entitled ‘Votes for Women – votes for which women? Patriotism and domesticity in the First World War’. Entrance £3 or free for students.
